Hot Water Boiler with Return Furnace – 700,000 kilocalories per hour

P 1

The return furnace series hot water boilers from Packman Company are designed as fire-tube and two-pass boilers, based on the European standard EN12953. They feature a wet back design with an internal return chamber and have an efficiency of 80%.

These boilers are produced with capacities ranging from 100,000 to 2,000,000 kilocalories per hour and can operate at pressures up to 20 bar.

The return furnace hot water boilers by Packman Company are constructed from seamless fire-tube pipes and heat-resistant carbon steel plates, in accordance with the specifications of the referenced standard. The thickness of these materials is determined based on the operating pressure of the boiler.

Additionally, these boilers are constructed using an integrated network of fire-tube pipes and combustion chamber, with specifications compliant with the mentioned standard.

In the manufacturing process of return furnace hot water boilers by Packman Company, the latest methods of submerged arc welding and flux-cored arc welding are utilized with automatic welding machines.

Additionally, in-process inspections, including welding inspection and non-destructive testing (NDT), are conducted on weld lines during manufacturing.

After the completion of welding operations and the mentioned inspections, necessary tests such as hydrostatic testing are conducted. Therefore, all hot water boilers manufactured by Packman Company will be equipped with standard plates upon delivery to the customer.

In the design of the return furnace hot water boilers by Packman Company, the flue gases pass twice. They first pass through the boiler furnace, then return through the same furnace to enter the second-pass tubes, and are directed from the rear door towards the boiler’s chimney.

The return furnace hot water boilers by Packman Company are manufactured as fire-tube and two-pass boilers, based on the BS-EN-12953 standard.

The boilers from Packman Company are manufactured in specified capacities according to the mentioned standard, and stress-relieving is performed based on the thickness. The thickness of which is determined according to the boiler’s operating pressure.

The boiler tubes are made of ST35.8 seamless steel, which is exclusively imported by Packman Company from European countries.

Heat-resistant pipes are welded using special equipment with the method of fusion welding (for welding the network).

Boilers at Packman Company are welded using sub-arc and flux-cored welding machines from Isab Sweden, and with electrodes from Isab, Geka, and Ama. The welding of the boilers is carried out under the strict supervision of Packman Company’s Quality Control (QC) team, following specific WPS (Welding Procedure Specifications). All necessary tests, including UT (Ultrasonic Testing) or RT (Radiographic Testing), are performed on the welds of the boilers.

It should be noted that inspectors from the Standards Organization are permanently present at Packman Company (resident representative of the Standards Organization) and review all necessary documents and tests. Upon delivery of boilers from Packman Company, standard plates will be provided, and if requested, documents such as WPS, PQR, etc., will be presented to the customer.
