Three-pass hot water boiler – 350 kilowatts

P 1

Packman company’s firetube hot water boilers, according to the European standard EN12953, are designed as three-pass, wet back with internal return chamber, with an efficiency of 86%.

(Three Pass, Wet Back, with Internal Reversal Chamber)

These boilers are produced with capacities ranging from 350 to 20,000 kilowatts and with a working pressure of up to 30 bar.

Packman company’s firetube hot water boilers are made of seamless firetube pipes and heat-resistant carbon steel plates with specifications in accordance with the referenced standard. The thickness is determined according to the boiler’s working pressure.

Furthermore, these boilers are constructed from integrated network of firetube pipes and corrugated combustion chambers, with specifications compliant with the mentioned standard.

In the process of manufacturing hot water boilers at Packman company, the latest methods of submerged arc welding and flux-cored arc welding with automatic machines are used.

Additionally, in-process inspections, including welding inspection and non-destructive testing (NDT), are conducted on weld lines during manufacturing.

After the completion of welding operations and the mentioned inspections, necessary tests such as hydrostatic testing are conducted. As a result, all hot water boilers from Packman company will have standard plates upon delivery to the customer.

Technical Specification for All Capacities

In the design of Packman company’s three-pass firetube hot water boilers, the three passes of flue gas start from the boiler furnace. After passing through the second furnace, it returns to the second-pass tubes and is transferred from the front door to the third-pass tubes. The exhaust gas is directed towards the boiler flue after passing through the third pass tubes, which are located at the end of the boiler.

Packman company’s horizontal hot water boilers are produced as firetube and three-pass according to the BS-EN-12953 standard.

Boiler furnaces for hot water boilers, according to the standard, are manufactured in specified capacities using unique Corrugated (ribbed) forming machines. In the production of Corrugated furnaces, skill in calculating and producing the depth and pitch of each protrusion is very important, a skill that Packman company, with over 50 years of experience in steel boiler production, has achieved.

Packman company’s boilers, in specified capacities according to the mentioned standard and based on thickness, undergo stress relief process. The thickness of which is determined according to the boiler’s operating pressure.

The boiler tubes are made of ST35.8 seamless steel, which is exclusively imported by Packman Company from European countries.

Heat-resistant pipes are welded using special equipment with the method of fusion welding (for welding the network).

Boilers at Packman Company are welded using sub-arc and flux-cored welding machines from Isab Sweden, and with electrodes from Isab, Geka, and Ama. Welding of boilers is carried out under the precise supervision of the Quality Control (QC) team of Packman company with specified WPS (Welding Procedure Specification), and all necessary tests including UT (Ultrasonic Testing) or RT (Radiographic Testing) are performed on boiler welds.

It is worth mentioning that inspectors from the Standards Department are permanently present at Packman company (resident representatives of the Standards Department), and they review all necessary documents and tests. Upon delivery of boilers from Packman Company, standard plates will be provided, and if requested, documents such as WPS, PQR, etc., will be presented to the customer.
